Arches watercolor paper is the bomb!Been waiting for the rest of the art materials I purchased from Cheap-Joe's to arrive...unfortunately
they're taking their sweet time delivering them. I also bought a couple of sheets of Arches 90lb watercolor paper from
my local art store and I must say I'm hooked with the quality of this paper. I used it to make my color wheel and
I believe I'll never use anything else from now on. Mark was right when he said the investment we make on 100%
rag paper is worth it.

Little Red Riding HoodAfter giving myself a couple of headaches last week because I was trying to come up with an original story
to illustrate...I decided to listen to the voice in my head that said "keep it simple stupid, don't bite off more than
you can chew". After all, what's truly important right now is that I illustrate a story, not write one. Illustrating
a story, is in its self a monumental task for me. HBO was playing the movie Little Red Riding Hood the
other day....and that's when my headache went away...the movie gave me so many good ideas for illustrating the main character
and the wolf! Of course I will introduce lots of original twists and turns of my own to the classic story. It will
probably take me a couple of weeks to re-write the story and make it fit into the standard children's book format.

Drawing reference using photos and model I'm using Goggle Images of people in motion as reference material, along
with an art manikin that I pose in the same manner as the pictures I'm working from. The results are interesting, my
drawings seem the be developing into what will eventually be my drawing style. I'm using pen and ink to outline
the figure and will finish the drawings in watercolor.
